These projects were made as low tech explorations of new techniques developed for pressing natural composites, made of different materials such as jupe and hemp and impregnated with bonding agents such as poly-proplene.
Different experiments were conducted to find low tech alternatives to heating, and adding high amounts of pressure and making physical bonds. Machines used included a taco press, hydraulic press, high heat oven, and vacuum former. From a design perspective limitations were height, undercuts, and complexity in form and detail.
