While many consider ceramics as a fine art this was a first iteration of a project integrating meaning into design. The project is a suggestion for a gourmet restaurant that values unique experience in its dining.
Each piece is customized for a specific meal made just for those ceramics. The colors and materials were purposefully chosen to represent the sense of temperature. This is done through a gradient from warm to cool colors, and the use of metal to transport the cool feeling of the food and wood to insulate the heat. Portions are deliberately reduced to accentuate the delicacy of gourmet food and allow you to enjoy the whole meal without getting full.
Great inspiration was taken fron Korean dining utensils.
